Matt Francsis is a former Geologist turned Data Scientist at Tessella. I was introduced to Matt after he published a LinkedIn post outlining his 7-12 months of intense effort that it took to transition to a Data Scientist role. This post went viral (over a million views) and really puts into perspective how rare it is to see detailed reports of how petrotechnical specialists transition to other industries.
